My name is Vernon Roberts. I am a retired FAA Air Traffic Controller. I have a Sport CFI as well as Private Pilot, Instrument, Advanced Ground and Instrument Ground Instructor ratings. I have accrued approx. 2000 hours total flight time of which 550 hours is in the Skycatcher.

I retired around the same time the FAA was implementing the Sport Pilot rule. I became very interested in the Sport concept, so interested that I began a search for a Light Sport Aircraft ( LSA ) to purchase. After much research and looking at LSA aircraft, I decided that the Cessna Skycatcher was the best LSA available.

Skycatcher N6043N, is well equipped with the dual screen G300 with XM weather. Other options installed include Rosen Sun Visors, a PLB, window air vents (no more sweating in warm wx), fire extinguisher, PM 3000 intercom, external power port and a tail skid. N6043N was also custom painted in safety orange to make it more visible in the air.

This Skycatcher is currently on leaseback with Atlantic Airways (703 779-8787) at KJYO in Northern Virginia. N6043N is available for rent to Sport (no FAA medical required) and Private Pilots or for students pursuing Sport or Private Pilot ratings.
